Inspector Lawal Ibrahim, a respected officer of the Nigerian Police Force assigned to the Kwali Division in Abuja, tragically passed away under mysterious circumstances at Palasa Guest Inn, Gwagwalada.

Details of the Incident
Inspector Ibrahim, known for his diligent service, checked into the hotel on Wednesday with Maryam Abba, who travelled from Dutse, Jigawa State, to meet him. According to Abba, the two engaged in sexual activity during the night and had two more rounds in the early morning.
“After the second round, I noticed his breathing became irregular and stopped abruptly. I sprinkled water on him to revive him but it was to no avail,” Abba narrated.
She quickly alerted the hotel manager, Danlami Palasa, who called the police. Upon arrival, officers transported Ibrahim to the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital, where he was declared dead. His remains were deposited in the hospital morgue.

The police confirmed Abba’s arrest for questioning, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of death. A police officer from the Gwagwalada Division, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated, “The lady has been arrested for further questioning.”
Efforts to reach SP Josephine Adeh, spokesperson for the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command, have been unsuccessful, as calls and a text message seeking her comment went unanswered.
