The Publicity Secretary of the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF), Barth Okoye Aniche, Esq., has strongly condemned the horrific and senseless murder of Bright Nda Owhor, Esq., a dedicated member of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Port Harcourt Branch.
Describing the killing as “one death too many,” Aniche decried the rising wave of insecurity in the country and lamented that the right to life and human dignity seem to have become elusive.
“It does appear we are on death row. God forbid,” he stated, urging the government to take urgent and decisive steps to end the bloodshed.
In a heartfelt condolence message, he commiserated with the immediate family of the slain lawyer, members of the NBA Port Harcourt Branch, the Eastern Bar Forum, and the entire Nigerian Bar Association on what he termed “a great loss to the legal profession.”
“Something must be done by the government to stop these killings,” he emphasized.
