In a commendable gesture of intellectual philanthropy, renowned legal luminary, Dr. Monday Onyekachi Ubani, SAN (popularly known as MOUSAN), has officially instituted the “Dr. M. O. Ubani SAN (MOUSAN) Annual Symposium” to mark his birthday each year.

The inaugural edition of the symposium is scheduled to hold virtually today, 28th July 2025, at 7:00 PM, in a special parley with the Ikwuano Lawyers Forum. The theme for this maiden edition is:

“A Parley with Ikwuano Lawyers: Practical Guidelines on Application for the Rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).”

This “closed edition” signals a thoughtful beginning to what will evolve into an open, knowledge-driven annual tradition. Starting from July 2026, the symposium will be accessible to the general public—lawyers and non-lawyers alike—and will feature conversations on pressing national issues and legal empowerment.

The MOUSAN Annual Symposium is Dr. Ubani’s personal initiative to give back to the legal profession and the society by fostering a culture of knowledge exchange, mentorship, and civic engagement.
