In his account, Adewale disclosed that Maduagwu, who lived on the top floor of the building, jumped down in panic as the robbers invaded the compound. The fall left her gravely injured. Police officers responding to distress calls arrived at the scene and found her unconscious. She was rushed to Maitama General Hospital, where doctors battled to revive her using cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), but she was pronounced dead.

“In the panic that followed, Maduagwu, who lived on the topmost floor of the building, jumped down from the third storey. The consequences were tragic and very unfortunate. Policemen moved to the scene and found her lying unconscious. She was immediately taken to Maitama General Hospital, where doctors tried to resuscitate her using CPR, but sadly, she could not make it,” Adewale explained.

The Commissioner further revealed that a special investigation team, headed by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Investigation), has been set up to pursue the attackers. He assured the public that “no stone will be left unturned” in ensuring justice for Maduagwu and her grieving family.
