It is with deep sadness that I received the news of the passing of Chief Chukwuma F. Ebu, a former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Asaba Branch from 2016 – 2018.
Though I did not have the privilege of knowing him personally, the tributes that have followed his passing speak eloquently of a life devoted to the Bar, to principled leadership, and to service rendered with courage and conviction.
To be remembered as a steady hand in challenging moments and as a defender of due process within the Branch is, in itself, a remarkable legacy.
I extend my heartfelt condolences to Azuka P. Maduemezia, Esq., Chairman of the Asaba Branch, the Executive Committee, and all distinguished members of the Branch on this painful loss.

Kindly convey my sincere sympathies to the family of the late Chief Ebu. May they find comfort in the honourable life he lived and in the enduring impact of his contributions to the legal profession.
May the Almighty grant him eternal rest and grant the entire Asaba Bar the strength to bear this loss.
Adieu, Chief.
