Citizens Liberties Committee Commends NBA Benin Branch on Successful 2025 Law Week

Benin City, Nigeria – The Citizens Liberties Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) National Body has extended warm congratulations to the NBA Benin Branch for the outstanding success of its 2025 Law Week, describing the event as a model of excellence, engagement, and legal enlightenment.

In an official message issued on behalf of the Committee, its Chairman, Nuhu J. Egya, praised the Benin Branch for its unwavering commitment to justice, integrity, and professionalism—values which were visibly upheld in the quality of programmes and participation witnessed during the week-long celebration.

“Your commitment to excellence and the promotion of legal enlightenment was clearly reflected in the quality of programs, engagement, and participation throughout the week.

We commend your leadership and all members of the branch for upholding the values of justice, integrity, and professionalism,” the message read.

The Citizens Liberties Committee, a key arm of the NBA devoted to the protection of civil rights and the promotion of democratic values, noted that initiatives like the Benin Law Week continue to play a vital role in reinforcing the rule of law and safeguarding human rights across the nation.

Mr. Egya further expressed hope that the Benin Branch’s achievements would inspire similar initiatives across the country, strengthening the legal profession’s impact on society.
