I particularly commend the visionary and dynamic leadership of Al Bashir Likko Esq, and his dedicated executive council, for organizing this significant event, a true testament to the dynamism and commitment of the MULAN FCT Chapter to the growth and development of our legal profession.

This Law Week is truly a milestone and a huge achievement for the present leadership.

On the Theme: “One Umma One Bar”
The choice of the theme, “One Umma One Bar,” is both timely and profound.

It underscores the essential truth that, regardless of our individual affiliations, we are fundamentally united by the larger goals of justice, equity, and the rule of law..

This theme calls for meaningful reflection on the imperative of unity, cooperation, and synergy within the entire legal community.

It inspires discussions on how we, as lawyers, can rise above differences to form a more formidable and cohesive “Bar” (legal profession) dedicated to upholding our collective constitutional and societal responsibilities. The strength of the “Umma” (community/nation) is inextricably linked to the unity and integrity of the “Bar.”

I am confident that the discussions arising from this theme will inspire concrete actions that will strengthen the bonds of fellowship, enhance ethical standards, and contribute significantly to the advancement of legal practice in Nigeria.

I pray that this Law Week will be intellectually stimulating, professionally enriching, and ultimately a resounding success.

We at the NBA Remuneration Committee recognize the importance of every segment of the Bar and look forward to your continued contribution to our joint endeavors.
