The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) has officially announced its decision to embark on an industrial action beginning at midnight on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

This action follows the Federal Government’s ongoing refusal to implement the ₦70,000 minimum wage, along with 25% and 35% wage awards.

Despite numerous meetings with key stakeholders—including the Minister of Labour, the National Judicial Council (NJC), Federal Judicial Service Commission (FJSC), Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), the Accountant General, the Budget Office, and the Head of Service—JUSUN has reported that attempts to reach an amicable resolution have been unsuccessful.

As a result, the union feels compelled to proceed with the planned strike. An official strike circular from the JUSUN National Headquarters is attached for reference.

JUSUN calls on all staff to remain united and adhere to the union’s directive as they advocate for fair and just remuneration for all judiciary workers.
