Justice Hassan ordered that Ngige remain in custody pending the hearing of his bail application scheduled for Monday, December 14, 2025.

Ngige, who served as the supervising Minister of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) between September 2015 and May 2023, is facing eight counts of abuse of office, undue advantage, and receiving gifts from contractors, contrary to the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, 2000.
