The Nigerian Bar Association Section on Legal Practice (NBA-SLP) has unveiled Bishop Matthew Hassan Kukah as the Keynote Speaker for its much-anticipated 2025 Annual Conference.

“Uncommon Challenges in a Rapidly Changing Legal Environment”
This year’s conference promises to be a thought-provoking and action-oriented gathering designed to confront the evolving dynamics of legal practice in Nigeria and beyond.
Bishop Kukah, widely known for his courage, clarity, and intellectual depth on national issues, will set the tone for the conference with his keynote address.
He is expected to challenge the legal profession to rise to its constitutional and moral responsibilities in the face of uncertainty, reform, and transition.
He will be joined by a distinguished panel of speakers, including leading legal minds, judges, academics, and policy leaders, who will dissect the theme and provide practical solutions to some of the most pressing challenges faced by legal practitioners today.

The Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, will serve as Chief Host and Principal Sponsor of this year’s event.
The Conference Planning Committee, chaired by Paul Harris Ogbole, SAN, is working tirelessly to deliver a world-class event.
In a recent planning tour of Jos, Mr. Ogbole was joined by Ehi Barnabas Henry, Assistant General Secretary of the NBA, Leah Hassan, Chairman of the NBA Jos Branch, and members of the Local Organizing Committee (LOC).
The team visited; The Office of the Chief Judge of Plateau State, The Attorney General of Plateau State, The Dean, Faculty of Law, University of Jos and Key hospitality and event venues across the city
