As the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Nnewi Branch marks its 25th Annual Law Week, renowned legal luminary Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, SAN will be among the distinguished speakers addressing the pressing topic of legal practitioners’ remuneration.

Themed “Facing the Future,” the two-day event scheduled for 26th–27th June 2025 at Esther Hall, Classic Munich Hotel, Umudim Nnewi, will feature a colloquium on the Legal Practitioners’ Remuneration Order (LPRO): Challenges and Prospects.

Aare Akinboro, a Life Bencher and former National General Secretary of the NBA, is expected to provide key insights into the ongoing push for fairer legal fees, professional dignity, and sustainability in legal practice.

Akinboro joins a high-profile panel of speakers including Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, Chief Emeka Ozoani, SAN, and Mr. Tobenna Erojikwe, with Prof. Ernest Ojukwu, SAN delivering the keynote on “The Future of Legal Practice: AI and E-Commerce in View.”

Known for his strong advocacy for young lawyers and reform in legal remuneration, Aare Akinboro’s presence underscores the NBA’s continued commitment to improving the welfare of its members and adapting to the evolving landscape of legal practice in Nigeria.

The Law Week will also feature a Grand Reception in honour of the NBA President, Mazi Afam Josiah Osigwe, SAN, as part of the celebration of visionary leadership in the legal profession.
