Past NBA 3rd Vice President and former Publicity Secretary of the Eastern Bar Forum, Barth Okoye Aniche Esq., has issued a stirring message to participants of the Lawyers With Disability (LWD) Conference, commending their collective courage and endless pursuit of a more just professional landscape.
Speaking in a tone that reflects his characteristic clarity and conviction, Aniche described the gathering as “a rare convergence of insight, lived experience, and transformative ambition.”
He emphasized that the conference theme, centering on empowerment, shared understanding, and genuine accessibility, is not merely aspirational but represents an urgent call for the Bar to recalibrate its structures and attitudes.
Aniche noted that the reflections and exchanges taking place from now until the 27th hold the potential to redefine how the legal community interprets capacity, contribution, and leadership among lawyers with disabilities.
He praised the participants for continually demonstrating that determination, intellect, and professional excellence are never constrained by barriers, only by society’s unwillingness to dismantle them.
