Barth Okoye Aniche, Esq., Past 3rd Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association and current Publicity Secretary of the Eastern Bar Forum (EBF), has extended his heartfelt goodwill message to the leadership and members of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Garki Branch on the occasion of their 2025 Law Week, themed “Law, Technology, and the Society.”
In his message, Aniche described the theme as both visionary and urgent, emphasizing the pressing need for the legal profession to remain responsive to the rapid changes driven by technological advancement. He stated:
“As we navigate an era where artificial intelligence, digital platforms, and data-driven systems are reshaping every facet of human existence, the law must rise—not as a relic—but as a guidepost for justice, balance, and societal order.”
He commended the NBA Garki Branch for spearheading critical dialogue on how law and technology intersect to influence governance, access to justice, and the everyday life of citizens.
Barth Aniche encouraged young lawyers to embrace digital literacy, legal-tech tools, and innovative thinking, while charging senior members of the Bar to lead the ethical discourse around privacy, cybercrime, automation, and human rights in a tech-driven society.

“Law is the soul of society, but it must learn the language of today’s tools to speak truth to tomorrow’s realities,” he concluded.
Aniche wished the Branch a successful and impactful Law Week, applauding the planning committee and leadership for fostering conversations that truly matter in the evolution of the legal profession.
