The American Bar Association has announced an advanced training programme examining how artificial intelligence, digital markets and changing enforcement policies are reshaping competition practice.
Its Antitrust Law Section will hold the 2026 Antitrust Masters Course from October 21 to 24 in Cambridge, Maryland.
In an official announcement issued on October 15, the ABA said the programme is designed for mid-level and senior antitrust practitioners.
Lectures will examine developments in antitrust doctrine, supported by workshops on private litigation, government investigations and merger practice.
The programme includes sessions on algorithms and competition, digital-economy policy, merger guidelines and the international dimensions of merger review.
Speakers include US District Judge Amit Mehta, competition litigator Michael Hausfeld and Columbia Law School’s Timothy Wu. Former Federal Trade Commission chairs Jon Leibowitz and Maureen Ohlhausen are also scheduled for a keynote conversation.
The gathering offers practitioners an opportunity to examine policy changes alongside the practical demands of advising clients and conducting investigations.
It is a forthcoming professional-development programme; the announcement does not introduce new competition rules. americanbar.org
