Chief Emeka Obegolu SAN, President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), recently had the honor of hosting the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Anuarbek Akhmetov, along with his esteemed delegation at the ACCI headquarters.
This significant meeting underscored the intention to enhance bilateral relations and explore collaborative opportunities between Nigeria and Kazakhstan.
Chief Obegolu advocated for the establishment of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the ACCI and the Chamber of Commerce of Kazakhstan. This formal agreement aims to deepen collaboration particularly in agriculture, trade, and information technology.
During the discussions, key sectors were highlighted as focal points for cooperation, including agriculture, fintech, space technology, and trade. Both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties, with particular attention given to the potential for mutual benefits in these diverse fields.
By facilitating structured cooperation, the MoU is expected to enhance trade flows and create a framework for joint initiatives. In addition, Chief Obegolu called for increased private-sector participation in future trade missions, recognizing that direct business engagements are crucial for fostering sustainable economic relationships.
