The First Vice President of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) and Chairman of the NBA Human Rights Institute, Sabastine Anyia, Esq., has paid glowing tribute to Mrs. Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya, SAN, celebrating her historic emergence as the first woman elected to lead the Nigerian Bar Association.
In a congratulatory message, Anyia described her election as a defining moment in the history of the legal profession, noting that it represents not only a victory for women but also a triumph of competence, inclusion and visionary leadership.
He said Mrs. Badejo-Okusanya, fondly known as “Mrs. Bold,” has inspired lawyers across the country by demonstrating that leadership is earned through excellence, integrity and dedication to service rather than gender.

According to him, the Senior Advocate of Nigeria has distinguished herself throughout her legal career through professionalism, advocacy, diligence and an unwavering commitment to justice.
The NBA First Vice President stated that her emergence has strengthened confidence in the future of the Bar and encouraged a new generation of female lawyers to aspire to the highest levels of leadership within the profession.
He expressed optimism that her administration would continue to promote unity, institutional progress and excellence across the Association.
