The stage is set as the Nigerian Bar Association, Birnin Kebbi Branch (Equity Bar), unveils its highly anticipated 2026 Law Week Opening Ceremony a gathering expected to bring together legal luminaries, policymakers, jurists, academics, and stakeholders from across the country for critical conversations on the future of law and technology in Nigeria.
With the thought-provoking theme, “Justice Beyond Algorithms: Navigating Law and Artificial Intelligence in Nigeria’s Evolving Justice System,” this year’s Law Week promises robust intellectual engagement on the intersection of artificial intelligence, ethics, justice delivery, and legal practice in the digital age.
The event will feature renowned jurists and distinguished personalities, including the keynote speaker, Hon. Justice Amina Adamu Augie, CFR, JSC (Rtd.), while notable dignitaries such as the Attorney-General of the Federation, senior members of the Bar and Bench, traditional rulers, and top government officials are also expected to grace the occasion.
Scheduled to hold on Monday, 8th June 2026, by 9:30AM at the Banquet Hall, Presidential Lodge, Birnin Kebbi, the opening ceremony is poised to be one of the most significant legal gatherings in Northern Nigeria this year.

The NBA Birnin Kebbi Branch says the Law Week is designed not only to deepen legal discourse but also to foster collaboration on how emerging technologies can strengthen rather than undermine justice, fairness, and the rule of law in Nigeria.
Members of the legal profession, students, tech enthusiasts, policymakers, and the general public are warmly invited to attend and be part of these timely conversations shaping the future of Nigeria’s justice system.
