NBAWF FCT Celebrates ACJMC at 10, Applauds Milestone in Criminal Justice Reform

The Nigerian Bar Association Women Forum (NBAWF) FCT Chapter has extended warm congratulations to the Administrative Committee of the Justice Monitoring Committee (ACJMC) as it marks the 10th anniversary of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act (ACJA) 2015, an important milestone in Nigeria’s justice sector evolution.

In a goodwill message signed by the State Lead, Amb. Princess Hadiza Afegbua FCILG (USA), FIPMA, FIASM (GH), CFE (USA), the Forum commended the ACJMC for its sacrifices to strengthening justice delivery and ensuring the effective implementation of the ACJA across the country.

The NBAWF FCT Chapter expressed particular pride in the leadership of its esteemed member, Evbu Igbenedion, who currently serves as the Executive Secretary of the ACJMC.

Her dedication to justice sector reforms, the Forum noted, stands as a remarkable testament to excellence and service.

The Forum also highlighted the relevance of the symposium’s theme, “Reflecting on a Decade of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act 2015: Achievements and Future Directions,” describing it as both timely and forward-looking.

It emphasized that the gathering offers a crucial platform for stakeholders to examine past achievements while preparing for future advancements in criminal justice administration.

NBAWF FCT wished the ACJMC a successful symposium and reaffirmed its readiness to continue collaborating in the collective pursuit of justice and institutional reform.
