In a landmark moment for the Nigerian Bar Association, Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, Chairman of the 2025 Annual General Conference Planning Committee, has officially presented the Committee’s final report to the National Executive Council, confirming what is now celebrated nationwide as a historic surplus exceeding ₦1 billion, the highest ever recorded in NBA conference history.
Addressing members of the Committee, Chief Obegolu SAN expressed profound appreciation for their exceptional dedication, professionalism, and unity, the driving forces behind the monumental success of the 2025 AGC. He thanked God for the privilege of serving under the visionary leadership of Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, noting that the AGCPC grew into a genuine family bonded by shared service to the Bar.
He acknowledged the natural moments of differing opinions that accompany any major endeavour, but emphasized that the Committee’s strength lay in its ability to stay together, stay focused, and finish strong. With heartfelt humility, he appealed to all members to forgive any misunderstandings that may have arisen during the demanding process, urging everyone to remain friends, allies, and a professional family committed to supporting one another in life’s journey.
Quoting Emerson, “If we are related, we shall meet,” he affirmed that the experience has shown that every member of the AGCPC 2025 is indeed connected by purpose and destiny.
