As the NBA Umuahia Branch sets the stage for its 2025 Law Week, I, Nuhu J. Egya, Esq., Chairman of the Citizens Liberties Committee National, extend my heartfelt goodwill message to the Chairman, Mr. Isaac Anya, Esq., and to every dedicated member of this vibrant branch.
The chosen theme, “Repelling the Tenacious Clogs in the Wheels of Justice Delivery,” resonates deeply with me. It speaks to the challenges we confront daily as guardians of justice.
At a time when administrative bottlenecks, procedural delays, and systemic inefficiencies threaten the sanctity of our justice system, gatherings like this Law Week provide an invaluable platform for sober reflection, honest conversation, and actionable solutions.
As Chairman of the Citizens Liberties Committee National, I am particularly inspired by Umuahia Branch’s unwavering commitment to confronting the obstacles that weaken access to justice.

This dedication mirrors the larger vision of the NBA, to uphold civil liberties, defend the vulnerable, and strengthen a justice system that is fair, efficient, and trusted by all.
I must commend the steady and purposeful leadership of Mr. Isaac Anya, Esq., whose efforts continue to elevate the branch and energize its members.
I also acknowledge the planning committee for putting together a program that promises to enrich national discourse and contribute meaningfully to the advancement of justice delivery.
On behalf of the Citizens Liberties Committee National, NBA, I wish you a successful, insightful, and impactful Law Week.
May the deliberations held here inspire practical reforms that will help unclog the wheels of justice and reinforce public confidence in our legal system.

NUHU J. EGYA
Chairman, Citizens Liberties Committee National, NBA
Past Chairman, NBA Keffi Branch
