Today as Nigeria joins the global community to mark the International Day of the Girl Child, 2025, themed; *’The girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontlines of crisis’,* we are called upon to ponder, recognize and support the incredible efforts and struggles of our own girls on the frontlines of crisis gasping for survival, growth and development.
Let us celebrate their strengths, courage, resilience and perseverance, and do more to protect their dignity and self-worth.
We must commit more to providing our girls with the opportunities and resources they need to thrive and help them amplify their voices to create positive change in the world.
When we impact positively on the girl child, we build a stronger and more compassionate world.
