The Nigerian Bar Association, Dutse Branch, has received warm felicitations from legal luminary Barth Okoye Aniche as the branch commences its 2025 Law Week, themed “Upholding Justice Through Ethical Advocacy.”
In his message, Aniche hailed the choice of theme as both timely and vital, noting that ethical advocacy remains the backbone of justice delivery. “Justice without ethics is like a body without a soul; it may stand, but it will never truly live,” he remarked.
He commended the Dutse Branch for keeping the conversation on professional integrity alive at a time when the pressures of expediency tempt some to compromise the profession’s core values. “The true advocate is not just a voice in the courtroom but a custodian of the public’s trust,” Aniche said.
“I wish the NBA Dutse Branch a truly transformative Law Week—one that deepens the culture of ethical responsibility among lawyers, strengthens the bonds of professional brotherhood, and leaves a legacy of principled advocacy in Jigawa State and beyond.
