The 2025 NBA Lagos Branch Annual General Meeting was more than a formal gathering—it was a profound affirmation of service, legacy, and new beginnings.
As one who has had the honour of serving within the NBA, I was reminded yesterday of the enduring value of leadership built on vision, integrity, and dedication to the Bar’s collective good.
To the outgoing executives, I extend heartfelt appreciation. Your tenure exemplified duty and discipline.
You carried the torch with strength, and in so doing, you have lit the way for the next generation of leaders. And now, a new chapter unfolds.

Congratulations to the incoming executives, and especially to Mrs. Uchenna Akingbade, whose emergence as the first female Chairman of the NBA Lagos Branch marks a defining moment in the history of the Bar.
This is more than a personal achievement—it is a triumph for inclusion, equity, and the dreams of every young woman in law who dares to believe in her potential.
Representation matters. And this moment thundered a bold, unapologetic yes to possibility.
To serve is a privilege. To lead with vision is a calling. To shatter ceilings while doing both? That is legacy in motion.
As the Lagos Branch charts its course into a new era, may this leadership be one of excellence, unity, and enduring impact.
