Legal luminary and dispute resolution expert Oyinkansola Badejo-Okusanya FCIArb, has extended a warm message of goodwill to the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Kaduna Branch on the occasion of its 2025 Law Week.
In her message, she commended the branch—popularly known as the “Courageous Bar”—for its choice of theme: “Strengthening the Bar and Bench Collaboration: A Pathway to Professional Discipline and Justice Delivery in Nigeria.”
Describing the theme as both timely and compelling, Badejo-Okusanya praised the Kaduna Branch for its consistency in promoting unity among members and in upholding the rule of law. She noted that the theme invites a serious reexamination of the legal community’s commitment to justice for all.
“The theme is not only apposite but also compelling enough to make us re-examine our commitment to justice for all,” she stated.
She emphasised that a strong and respectful collaboration between the Bar and the Bench is not only essential for the health of the justice system but also central to national development.

According to her, the message behind the theme is a critical reminder: that justice must go beyond courtroom proceedings to become a lived reality for Nigerians.
“Harmonious collaboration between the Bar and the Bench means that justice does not just function, it flourishes,” she noted.
She further urged lawyers and judges alike to embrace a shared responsibility in reinforcing ethical standards, fostering mutual respect, and rebuilding public trust in the justice system.
As delegates gather for Law Week, Badejo-Okusanya encouraged them to engage in candid conversations that challenge complacency and reignite professional discipline.
“May your conversations deepen mutual respect and remind us all that justice is only as strong as the united determination behind it,” she added.
She concluded by wishing the Kaduna Branch a “reflective and forward-moving” Law Week celebration.
