Today June 23 2025, marks the close of a remarkable chapter in the history of the Nigerian Bar Association, Bwari Branch, as the administration ably led by our distinguished Chairman, Paul Babatunde Daudu, SAN, graciously bows out of office.

On behalf of the Young Lawyers’ Forum, I extend our heartfelt congratulations and deep appreciation to you, our amiable and visionary Chairman, for the many commendable strides recorded during your two-year tenure.

The late Dr. Myles Munroe once said, *“Everything rises and falls on leadership.”* Your leadership as Chairman of the Cradle Bar exemplified this truth.

Your tenure brought transformative growth, structure, and innovation to the Branch, elevating our relevance and visibility within the Nigerian Bar Association.

Under your administration, the Cradle Bar became widely regarded as one of the fastest-growing and most vibrant branches in the country.

This reputation was earned through the bold, innovative initiatives you and your team championed.

One of the most outstanding legacies of your leadership was your unwavering commitment to members welfare.

Your administration successfully enrolled 259 members and 3 NBA Bwari support staff into the National Health Insurance Scheme, an enduring testament to your belief that lawyers must be physically and emotionally well to uphold justice and the rule of law.

Additionally, the continuation of monthly free health screenings at Branch meetings underscored your proactive and compassionate leadership.

In terms of transparency and accountability, your administration sets a high standard. Monthly financial reports to the Branch reflected prudent management and built trust among members.

It was evident that service and stewardship, not self-interest, were the hallmarks of your leadership.

Young lawyers in particular felt the warmth of your inclusive and supportive approach. From free transportation and accommodation during the NBA Annual General Conference to your consistent encouragement of professional development through Continuing Legal Education, you made it clear that young lawyers matter and belong.

Perhaps most significantly, your administration fostered peace, unity, and camaraderie across the Branch, laying the foundation for the successes we now celebrate.

Learned Silk, you came, you led, and indeed, you conquered.

On behalf of the Young Lawyers’ Forum, NBA Bwari Branch, I say thank you. Thank you for being a Chairman who was not only accessible but genuinely invested in the growth and development of young lawyers.

Thank you for raising the Bar. Posterity will indeed be kind to you.

We pray that the Almighty God continues to bless you and the dynamic members of your Executive as you embark on future endeavors.

With sincere gratitude and admiration,

Elijah Israel Elijah, Esq.

Chairman, NBA Young Lawyers’ Forum, Bwari Branch.
