Adeleke Orders Manhunt For Arsonists Who Set Osun Court Ablaze

Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has ordered a full investigation into the arson that destroyed the Ilesa High Court 2 building on Sunday night. The fire resulted in significant damage, including the loss of sensitive court documents and exhibits. Governor Adeleke condemned the attack, describing it as an unjustifiable assault on the judiciary, and called for swift action to apprehend those responsible.

Adeleke directed security agencies to intensify surveillance around court buildings and work to ensure that the perpetrators face justice. He also instructed the Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice to collaborate with the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure to begin the immediate rehabilitation of the damaged building.

The governor emphasized that the arson was a direct threat to democracy and reiterated the importance of protecting the judiciary, which plays a vital role in safeguarding democratic values in the state.
