Senior Advocate of Nigeria and President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Emeka JP Obegolu, SAN, FCIArb, FCIMC, has extended warm congratulations to the Nigerian Law School students who have successfully passed the recently released Bar Finals Examination results. His message celebrates the resilience, commitment, and determination displayed by the aspiring legal professionals throughout their rigorous academic journey.
In a statement released earlier today, Emeka JP Obegolu, SAN, described the moment as a significant milestone not only for the new graduates but also for the Nigerian legal community at large. He emphasized that crossing the Bar is more than an academic achievement — it marks the beginning of a lifelong commitment to justice, integrity, and ethical legal practice.
“I heartily congratulate each and every student who has earned the privilege of being called to the Nigerian Bar,” Obegolu said. “The journey to this point is a testament to your hard work, discipline, and unyielding belief in the rule of law. As you prepare to take your oath and don the wig and gown, I encourage you to remain steadfast in the principles of fairness, diligence, and service to humanity.”

He further urged the new graduates to embrace the evolving landscape of legal practice in Nigeria and globally, highlighting the importance of continuous learning, adaptability, and ethical conduct in building a fulfilling legal career.
“The Nigerian legal system needs young lawyers who are not only intelligent but also principled, ethical, and deeply committed to justice. I trust that you will rise to this sacred calling and make a meaningful contribution to both the legal profession and our society,” Obegolu added.
He concluded his message by offering prayers for wisdom and professional success for the new graduates as they prepare to be formally admitted to the Nigerian Bar in the upcoming Call to Bar ceremonies.
The Nigerian Law School Bar Finals is a critical qualifying examination that marks the culmination of legal education in Nigeria, testing both academic mastery and practical competence before students are formally admitted as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.
