The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has streamlined the application process for obtaining the official NBA Stamp. Members are advised to follow the steps below to ensure a seamless application or re-upload of branch dues and other required documents.
Steps to Apply for the NBA Stamp:
- Login to the NBA Portal:
- Visit https://portal.nigerianbar.org.ng/ and enter your credentials to access your NBA account.
- Select “Stamp Application”:
- On your dashboard, locate and click on the “Stamp Application” option.
- Click on the Action Menu:
- Under the “Action” column, locate the three-dot menu and click on it.
- Upload Evidence of Branch Dues Payment:
- Select “Upload Document” and proceed to upload evidence of payment of your Branch Dues (receipt/teller) for the current year.
- The document must be in picture format (JPG, PNG, or PDF).
- Ensure that the uploaded amount corresponds with the number of stamps you are applying for.
- Select Type of Stamp:
- Choose the category of stamp you require:
- Public (RED) for legal practitioners working in public service.
- Private (GREEN) for legal practitioners in private practice.
- Choose the category of stamp you require:
- Submit Your Application:
- After completing the required steps, review the information and click the Submit button.
