The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has dismissed reports alleging that retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS), David Shikfu Parradang, was kidnapped and killed by unknown gunmen in Abuja.
Contrary to earlier reports suggesting that Parradang was abducted in the Area 1 district of Abuja in the early hours of Tuesday, the police clarified that he was found dead in a hotel room after being visited by a woman.
In an official statement released on Tuesday by Josephine Adeh, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) for the FCT Command, the police confirmed that Parrandang’s body was discovered by a military officer who had gone to check on him due to concerns about his well-being.

Police Response and Investigation
Following the discovery, the Durumi Police Division was immediately alerted. Officers arrived at the scene promptly, documented the room, and collected evidence. The police have since transferred Mr. Parradang’s body to the National Hospital in Abuja for an autopsy and other necessary procedures.
