THE CALIPHATE BAR HAD IT'S THIRD EDITION OF YOUNG LAWYERS FORUM MENTORSHIP SERIES

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Sokoto Branch under the leadership of Rashidat Mohammed, Esq has continued its commendable efforts in fostering professional growth and ethical grounding among young legal practitioners through its Mentorship Series.

This initiative is aimed at providing a platform for experienced legal minds to share their wealth of knowledge and experience with young lawyers, inspiring them to achieve excellence in their legal careers.

CALIPHATE BAR CONDEMNS THE RECENT BOMBING OF SILAME COMMUNITY IN SOKOTO

The most recent edition of the mentorship series took place on Friday, 24th January 2025, at the NBA Sokoto Branch Secretariat. The session featured Chief J.E. Ochidi, SAN, a renowned Senior Advocate of Nigeria, as the mentor.

Chief Ochidi captivated the audience with his practical insights on navigating the legal profession, emphasizing diligence, integrity, and the need for continuous learning. His words resonated deeply with the young lawyers, leaving them motivated and better equipped to tackle the challenges of the profession.

CALIPHATE BAR HOSTS FIRST YOUNG LAWYERS’ SUMMIT 2024

The event was graced by other distinguished members of the legal profession who also contributed immensely to the discourse. Among the dignitaries was the Chairman of the Continue Legal Education Committee of NBA Sokoto Branch – Prof. Ibrahim Abdullahi, SAN, a respected academic and legal practitioner.

Prof. Abdullahi delivered an inspiring address, shedding light on the importance of mentorship in shaping successful legal careers. He advised the Young Lawyers to avoid being overtaken by social media.

The Chairman of the Young Lawyers Forum (YLF) also spoke, encouraging young lawyers to actively participate in mentorship opportunities and to remain steadfast in their pursuit of excellence.

He applauded the efforts of the branch in creating a platform where young lawyers can connect with mentors who are willing to share their expertise and experiences.

The atmosphere was one of mutual respect and eagerness to learn, embodying the true spirit of mentorship.

The NBA Sokoto Branch Mentorship Series continues to be a beacon of hope and guidance for young lawyers, equipping them with the tools they need to excel in their legal careers. This initiative not only strengthens the bond within the legal community but also ensures the sustenance of professional excellence for generations to come.
