Dunamis Pastor Paul Enenche’s Brothers, Remanded in Keffi Prison

Two siblings of Pastor Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Church, and a former church pastor, Pastor Abraham Daniel, have been remanded in Keffi Custodial Centre, Nasarawa State.

The remand followed an order from a Magistrate Court in Wuse Zone 6, Abuja, secured by the Nigerian Police Force.

The detained individuals, Mr. Enenche Enenche and Alexander Enenche, along with Pastor Daniel, were taken into custody on Monday evening after voluntarily honoring a police invitation.

Allegations of Cyberbullying and Defamation

The trio was initially arrested on January 7, 2025, on allegations of cyberbullying and criminal defamation against Pastor Paul Enenche. They were released on bail the following day after an agreement to settle the matter amicably.

Despite their release, they were instructed to report to the Force Intelligence Department (FID) on January 10 and January 13. Upon reporting on Monday, the police secured a court remand order, leading to their detention at the Keffi Custodial Centre.

Legal Actions

A source revealed that efforts are underway to file a fundamental rights application to challenge the remand.

“The police claimed to have obtained a court order for their remand,” the source said, adding that the specifics of the order, including the magistrate’s name and the remand duration, remain unclear.

The source also indicated that legal proceedings would commence on Tuesday to address the matter.

This development marks a significant turn in the ongoing dispute involving the leadership and members of the Dunamis Church.
