The Nigerian Police Force has dismantled a notorious child-trafficking syndicate led by Pastor Dayo Bernard of the End Time Army Ministry, based in Bukuru, Plateau State. The operation, conducted on December 2, 2024, resulted in the rescue of five children aged 2 to 4.

The victims were reportedly abducted from various homes in Jos, Plateau State’s capital. Four other suspects—Rita Agboeze, Victoria Ugwu, Nanman Puntel, and Peter Ukwuani—were also apprehended in connection with the crimes.

The Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that the principal suspect, Pastor Bernard, confessed to abducting and selling 13 children at varying prices. All rescued children have since been reunited with their families through the Plateau State Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.
In addition to this breakthrough, police operations also recovered 14 AK-47 rifles as part of their intensified efforts to curb illegal arms proliferation and enhance national security.
ACP Adejobi reaffirmed the police’s commitment to proactive, intelligence-driven strategies to combat crime and ensure the safety of all Nigerians.
