The International Association of Women Judges (IAWJ), in partnership with Co-Impact, has chosen Nigeria as one of five countries to implement the Women in Leadership in Law (WILIL) initiative.
This multi-year project focuses on creating sustainable leadership opportunities for women in the judiciary across the Global South, encompassing nations in Asia, Africa, Latin America, and Oceania.
Women: Overview of the WILIL Project
The WILIL initiative is a three-year program aimed at identifying and dismantling barriers preventing women from entering, thriving, and advancing in judicial leadership roles. Each selected country—Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Mexico, and the Philippines—will design and implement localized strategies tailored to their unique challenges.
