In a statement issued on Sunday by the command’s spokesman, Daniel Ndukwe, Uzuegbu condemned the sit-at-home declaration as baseless and warned against spreading false information. The viral video, reportedly featuring an unidentified man claiming the imminent launch of Biafran armored vehicles, called for residents of Enugu and other southeast states to stay indoors.

The Police Commissioner described the video as a calculated effort to destabilize the social and economic well-being of the people under the guise of secessionist agitation. He reassured the public that Enugu State has moved beyond such illegal and criminally motivated sit-at-home orders, which have been used in the past to disrupt peace and normalcy in the region.

Uzuegbu further assured residents that the police, in collaboration with other security agencies, are fully prepared to ensure the safety and security of the state. He warned that any individuals or groups attempting to cause unrest would face severe consequences.
