Barth Aniche Okoye, Immediate Past Publicity Secretary of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Eastern Bar Forum, has conveyed a goodwill message to the NBA Ilorin Branch on the occasion of its 2025 Annual Bar Dinner and Award Night, commending the Branch for advancing a forward-looking vision anchored on innovation and institutional excellence.
Writing in his capacity as a stakeholder committed to the future of the Nigerian Bar, Okoye described the 2025 Annual Bar Dinner and Award Night as more than a ceremonial gathering, characterising it as a deliberate affirmation of the Bar’s readiness to innovate, adapt, and lead in a rapidly changing professional environment.
According to him, innovation remains the defining currency of relevance in modern legal practice.

The Ilorin Branch, he observed, has through its vision and programming continued to demonstrate that progress within the profession is achieved by intentional renewal rather than mere tradition.
Okoye further emphasised that innovation within the Bar is not limited to technology, but extends to mindset, leadership culture, mentorship, and the strengthening of institutional processes.
