In a grand and colourful ceremony held today, Sunday, October 26, 2025, the 32nd President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Mazi Afam Josiah Osigwe, SAN, was conferred with the prestigious chieftaincy title of “Ifechukwukwulu of Nnewi.”
The honour, meaning “What God Has Ordained”, celebrates his remarkable leadership, service to humanity, and unwavering contributions to the advancement of justice and community development.
In a heartfelt congratulatory message, Chinelo Audrey Ofoegbunam described the recognition as a testament to the NBA President’s visionary leadership and selfless dedication to society.
“Mr. President, this prestigious honour is a testament to your outstanding leadership to the people of Nnewi, your dedication, and honest contributions to society.

As you continue to make a positive impact here on earth, may your legacy be remembered for generations to come,” she stated.
She further prayed that his wisdom, compassion, and vision continue to inspire and uplift those around him, adding,
“As you continue to cast your hands in the sands of time, may posterity indeed hold you dear.”
The ceremony drew dignitaries, legal luminaries, traditional rulers, and admirers from across Nigeria who gathered to celebrate the newly installed Ifechukwukwulu of Nnewi.
