It’s thrilling to announce that the YLF, Garki Branch inaugural meeting, held on February 13th, 2025, at the NBA House, not only marked the official launch of the YLF programs but also set the stage for a dynamic future for young legal professionals in the branch.
The meeting was well attended by esteemed guests like Mrs Oyinkansola Badejo Okusanya as a Guest Speaker, Chief Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboru SAN, Paul Kasim SAN, The Assistant General Secretary of the NBA- Henry Barnabas, Chairman of Garki Branch and the Chairmen of the YLF Abuja and Bwari Branches.
The meeting also had representation from the NBA Women’s Forum FCT Chapter and YLF Governing Council Executives and Senior members of the Branch and Bar.
The YLF, Garki Branch Chairperson Zullaihat Ohiare leading her team Unveiled the YLF Flagship Programs designed to:
- Build capacity for professional growth
- Enhance community-focused legal interventions
- Support young lawyers in navigating their career development
The Flagship programs include:
- Young Lawyers, Community Development Initiatives (CDI)
- Law and Inclusive Development Summit (2025)
- Young Lawyers Mentorship Scheme (YoLMS) and the
- Webinar Series
The meeting was both fruitful and deliberative, sparking vibrant discussions and energizing many young lawyers who are now more motivated than ever to shape the future of legal practice.
