Anambra Police Command Confirms Arrest of 33-Year-Old Obinna Anene as Prime Suspect

The Anambra State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Obinna Anene, the 33-year-old principal suspect in the gruesome murder and burning of 74-year-old Alice Anene, a wheelchair-bound woman in Abagana, Njikoka Local Government Area.

Anambra: Decomposing Body of Kidnapped Lawmaker Found

According to the Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the suspect was arrested on Tuesday and is currently being transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID), Homicide Section, Awka for further interrogation.

The arrest follows the earlier apprehension of four other suspects, including 21-year-old Chinyere Ekwenugo, who confessed that her boyfriend, Ifeanyi Igwe, alongside three others, set the elderly woman on fire.
