The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Bori Branch, has officially inaugurated its newly elected Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 administration, marking the beginning of a new leadership era for the Branch.
The swearing-in ceremony, held on August 14, 2026, formally ushered the new officers into office as they assumed responsibility for the administration and continued development of the Branch.
In his inaugural address, the newly sworn-in Chairman, Mr. Evangel L. Augustine, called on members of the Branch to embrace unity, integrity and collective responsibility in advancing the objectives of the Association.
He urged members to work together in fostering a stronger, more united and progressive NBA Bori Branch, emphasising that the success of the administration would depend on the support and commitment of the entire membership.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the formal handover conducted by the outgoing Secretary, G. B. Y. Jaja, who officially transferred the Branch’s properties and official records to the newly sworn-in Secretary, Sogba Q. Epelle, ensuring a seamless transition and continuity in the affairs of the Branch.
The newly inaugurated Executive Committee comprises:
- Evangel L. Augustine – Chairman
- Dr. Variable P. Namene – Vice Chairman
- Sogba Q. Epelle – Secretary
- Beretam L. Nwikana – Assistant Secretary
- D. L. Augustus – Treasurer
- Faith Pepe Neachi – Publicity Secretary
- Kakiri Saturday – Financial Secretary
- MiBari Barianyima – Welfare Secretary
- Agbozi Bob G. – Provost
The new leadership assumes office with a commitment to strengthening the Branch, safeguarding the interests of members and promoting professionalism, unity and excellence within the legal profession.
The Branch also paid tribute to the outgoing administration led by Dr. N. A. Duson, commending its contributions and successful stewardship over the past tenure.
Members expressed optimism that the new Executive Committee would build on existing achievements and provide purposeful leadership that advances the vision and aspirations of the NBA Bori Branch.
