Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has commended operatives of the Department of State Services for rescuing a kidnapped victim and arresting three suspects allegedly connected to kidnapping activities in the state.
According to Naija News, the governor’s commendation was contained in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Addra.
The security operation was conducted at different locations across Nasarawa State.
One of the suspects was reportedly arrested at an alleged criminal hideout in Atabula, Duduguru community, Jenkwe Development Area, while two others were apprehended at a hotel in Lafia, the state capital.

During the operation, DSS personnel reportedly dismantled and destroyed a makeshift camp allegedly used by the suspects as a hideout.
A kidnapped victim held at the location was rescued, while cash, five mobile phones and other items were recovered by security operatives.
Governor Sule described the arrests and rescue operation as evidence of the effectiveness and dedication of security agencies in combating kidnapping and other criminal activities in Nasarawa State.
He urged the DSS and other security agencies not to relent in their efforts to dismantle criminal networks and protect residents across the state.
The governor also assured security agencies of the continued support of his administration as they carry out their responsibilities.

Sule appealed to residents to remain vigilant and provide security agencies with timely and credible information capable of preventing criminal activities.
He stressed that combating kidnapping and other forms of insecurity required cooperation between security personnel and members of the public.
“Collective vigilance and cooperation are essential to maintaining peace and security in the state,” the governor said.
Investigations into the activities of the arrested suspects are expected to continue, while the allegations against them remain subject to further investigation and judicial determination.
