The International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA) Nigeria, Abuja Branch, has officially signalled the start of a historic era with the inauguration of its specialised planning committee for the branch’s *35th Anniversary**.
The committee is tasked with orchestrating a grand celebration scheduled for *December 2026*, marking three and a half decades of unwavering legal advocacy for women and children.
The Branch Chairperson, *Mrs. Chioma Onyenucheya-Uko*, formally inaugurated the 36-member team, led by, Dr Princess Frank-Chukwuani*
In a powerful charge to the appointees, Mrs. Uko stated that the mission transcends mere event planning; it is about curating a legacy that honours FIDA’s past, projects its present, and defines its future.

She emphasised that the celebration must serve as a definitive showcase of the branch’s profound milestones and its continuing responsibility to the justice system.
The Committee Chairperson, **Dr. Princess Frank-Chukwuani**, expressed her gratitude to the Branch Executive for the vote of confidence.
She affirmed the absolute dedication of all members, including Alternate Chairperson Ms Ojobo Ode Atuluku and Secretary Mimi Ayua to ensuring the anniversary becomes an epochal event that resonates across the legal community.
Supported by the Branch EXCO as ex officio members, the committee is now set to roll out a blueprint that reflects the prestige and impact of FIDA Abuja’s 35-year journey.
