Breaking: NBA Litigation Committee’s Suit Against IGP & Others Set for May 7, 2025

The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Litigation Committee has filed a lawsuit against the Inspector General of Police (IGP), the Nigerian Police Force, and the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) on behalf of Ernest Chukwuemeka Okpaka, seeking damages for unlawful detention and inhumane treatment by police officers attached to the Police Cyber Crime Center, Abuja.

The case, which has been assigned to Justice Suleiman Liman of Federal High Court 11, Abuja, is scheduled for hearing on May 7, 2025.

The NBA Litigation Committee’s action underscores its commitment to upholding human rights and ensuring accountability in law enforcement.
