Dear Learned Colleagues and Friends,
The recently concluded NBA National Elections have understandably stirred strong emotions across our profession. While many are celebrating, others are understandably disappointed and aggrieved.
I sincerely appreciate the passion, commitment, and sacrifices that members of our Branch invested in the process, irrespective of the candidates they supported.
Your support exemplifies how committed we are to the future of the Association and the growth of Legal Practice in Nigeria.
I want to reassure every member of the Unity Bar that, to me, we remain one family. Our different political preferences should never diminish the respect, friendship, and professional bond that unite us as colleagues.
As we look ahead towards the 31st of July, 2026, I respectfully appeal to every one of us not to allow the outcome of the National Elections to shape our choices in the forthcoming Unity Bar Elections. They are separate contests, each deserving of independent consideration.
My aspiration to serve as Chairman of our Branch has always been about service, to build a stronger, more inclusive, and progressive Unity Bar where every member feels valued and every voice is heard.
I humbly ask for your continued friendship, support, and trust. Let us move forward together in the spirit of collegiality, mutual respect, and our shared vision of an NBA Abuja Branch that is United Without Barriers. Elections may produce different outcomes, but they should never divide colleagues.
