What a truly heart-warming beginning to our 2025 Law Week.
From Friday until today, every step we have taken has reminded me of the strength, unity, and grace that define the FIDA Abuja Branch and the remarkable women who carry its vision with pride.
We opened our Law Week on Friday with a solemn Jumat Prayer, seeking God’s guidance, favour, and protection as we commenced this important annual journey.
On Saturday, our Road Walk brought a refreshing burst of energy, women lawyers, friends, and supporters walking in purpose, raising awareness, and celebrating the power of community.

By Sunday, we gathered again, this time in God’s house, for a Thanksgiving Service. It was a moment of deep gratitude, for life, for service, for the privilege of advocacy, and for the opportunity to stand in defence of women and children.
And today, we crowned these beautiful beginnings with a grand Opening Ceremony, a convergence of minds, leaders, and voices committed to advancing justice and amplifying women’s representation in our nation’s legislature.
As we continue through the week, my heart is full.
Full of pride.
Full of purpose.

Full of hope.
This Law Week is more than a calendar of events; it is a reaffirmation of why we serve, why we speak, and why we must keep pushing the boundaries of representation and equality.
Here’s to a week of rich conversations, strengthened partnerships, and meaningful impact, for our profession, for our society, and for every woman whose voice deserves to be heard.
