It is with immense respect and admiration that I extend my heartfelt felicitations to the Nigerian Bar Association Lawyers with Disabilities Forum (NBA-LWDF) on the occasion of its 2025 Annual Conference, themed “Beyond Triumphs: Advancing Inclusion, Impact & Leadership for Persons with Disabilities.”

This year’s theme captures a profound and necessary dialogue, one that challenges us to move beyond narratives of resilience to tangible systems of inclusion and empowerment. It is a reminder that progress is not measured merely by overcoming barriers, but by dismantling them entirely for those who come after us.

The conversation on inclusion in the legal profession must transcend tokenism and translate into equitable opportunities, representation, and leadership for persons with disabilities. By advancing policies, mentorship, and accessibility frameworks, we enrich not only our justice system but the collective conscience of our society.

The NBA-LWDF continues to embody the spirit of courage, advocacy, and excellence,  redefining what leadership means in an inclusive world. Your efforts resonate deeply with the ideals of justice, equality, and humanity that lie at the core of our profession.

As we gather in Asaba for this year’s conference, may the deliberations ignite actionable pathways toward a more inclusive Bar and a truly representative justice system for all.

Congratulations once again to the leadership and members of the Forum for this remarkable stride in shaping an inclusive legal future.
