Renowned jurist, security policy expert, and legal scholar, Dr. Charles Omole, LLB, LLM, PhD (Bucks), will be one of the key moderators at the 2025 Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), scheduled to hold from August 22 to 29, 2025, in Enugu State.
On Monday, August 25, 2025, Dr. Omole will moderate a highly anticipated session on the topic: “Disruptive Artificial Intelligence: The Future of Nigeria’s Legal Landscape and Judicial Process in the 21st Century.”
The session will explore the transformative impact of AI on legal systems, national security, and judicial integrity.
A lawyer and legal researcher of international repute, Dr. Omole earned his PhD in International Law and Security Sector Jurisprudence from the University of Buckingham, UK, after earlier degrees in law.

He served as a judge in the London Judicial Circuit, first in the Family Court and later in the Crown Court, while also lecturing law students in the UK.
His contributions to legal and national security reform include his role as National Security Adviser to the Speaker of Nigeria’s 9th House of Representatives, where he played a pivotal part in reviewing national security laws and convened the first National Security Summit for the National Assembly in 2021.
Currently, Dr. Omole is the Director General of the Institute for Police and Security Policy Research (IPSPR), leading groundbreaking research and policy initiatives for security sector reform across Africa. He has authored over two dozen books, widely used by police, military, and security professionals on the continent.
His moderating role at the NBA-AGC aligns with his ongoing research into the intersection of modern technology, artificial intelligence, and national security.
