It is with profound sorrow and a heart weighed down by grief that I, Nuhu J. Egya, on behalf of the Citizens’ Liberties Committee of the Nigerian Bar Association, extend my deepest condolences to the family, colleagues, and the entire Makurdi Branch of our noble Association on the tragic passing of Mr. John Tyoapine, Esq.
John was not only a dedicated legal practitioner but also a beacon of principle, a passionate defender of justice, and a man whose quiet strength left an indelible mark on all who knew him. His leadership as Vice Chairman of the Makurdi Branch was defined by integrity, humility, and a deep commitment to the ideals of the legal profession.
His untimely transition—so soon after the birth of his twin children—is a heartbreaking reminder of life’s fragile beauty. He leaves behind not just a grieving family but a legacy of service, character, and hope that will endure in the hearts of all who walked this journey with him.
To his beloved wife, children, extended family, and colleagues at the NBA Makurdi Branch, please accept my sincere sympathy. May you find strength in the life he lived, solace in the values he upheld, and peace in the love he shared.
