In a decisive move to bolster the integrity and ethical standards of the legal profession, the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has officially constituted and unveiled its Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) Prosecutors’ Team.
The team’s constitution follows the approval granted by the National Executive Council (NEC) of the NBA during its meeting held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at the Nike Lake Resort, Enugu.
The team is tasked with prosecuting disciplinary cases against legal practitioners where a *prima facie* case of professional misconduct has been established by the NBA Ethics and Disciplinary Committees.
Leading the team is **Charles Amajuoritse Ajuyah, SAN**, who will serve as Chairman and Chief Prosecutor. He will be joined by a robust mix of seasoned Senior Advocates of Nigeria and experienced legal practitioners committed to upholding the ethics of the Bar.

According to the NBA, the team will work in close synergy with the Ethics and Disciplinary Committees to ensure that disciplinary matters are diligently prosecuted before the LPDC in line with the **Legal Practitioners Act** and other applicable professional conduct regulations.
NBA President, Mazi Afam Osigwe, SAN, who conveyed the appointments, commended the appointees and expressed confidence in their ability to deliver on this crucial mandate. He reiterated the Association’s commitment to promoting professional discipline and restoring public confidence in the legal profession.
