It gives me great pleasure to extend my warmest felicitations to the Chairman, Executive Committee, and members of the Nigerian Bar Association, Osogbo Branch, on the occasion of your 2025 Law Week, themed: “Appreciating the Gains of the Past in Moving Forward.”

This theme is not only timely but profound, as it reminds us to pause, reflect, and recognize the milestones achieved in our collective journey as legal practitioners, while drawing strength and insight from them to navigate the evolving landscape of our profession and our nation.

I commend the brilliant array of activities lined up—from the Boat Cruise at Owalla Lake to the sensitization walk, lecture, and award night—all thoughtfully curated to blend learning, wellness, and camaraderie.

Of particular significance is the lecture on the independence of state and local governments under the 1999 Constitution, which speaks to the core of our democratic structure and the need for continued legal discourse on issues shaping our governance.

I congratulate and celebrate the keynote speaker, Aare Olumuyiwa Akinboro, a distinguished member of the Bar, and the Chairman of the Occasion, His Excellency, Senator Nurudeen Ademola Jackson Adeleke, for lending their voices and presence to this momentous event.

To the leadership of the Osogbo Branch ably led by Chairman Saheed Olayemi Abiona, I salute your vision, commitment, and passion in driving forward the objectives of the Bar at the branch level.

May this Law Week further reinforce our shared values of integrity, service, and justice, and inspire us all to remain bold advocates of the rule of law and good governance.

Congratulations once again, and I wish you a resoundingly successful Law Week.
