The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) Benin Branch has finalized comprehensive logistics for the effective monitoring of the Edo gubernatorial elections, which will take place on September 21, 2024.
In a show of cooperation between the Branch and the National NBA, Mr Idemudia Iredia Osifo, Esq., Chairman of the NBA Benin Branch, hosted national delegates led by the NBA National General Secretary, Dr. Mobolaji Ojibara, Esq., on Thursday, September 19, 2024. The meeting culminated weeks of detailed planning for the NBA’s critical observatory role in the elections.
During the gathering, Mr. Osifo commended the NBA’s leadership under President Mazi Afam Osigwe’s administration. He highlighted that after thorough preparations, the NBA Benin Branch is fully prepared to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process, stressing that any efforts to subvert the people’s will would be met with serious consequences.
